
Now the auction has shifted gears.
The opening bid was lowered to $5,000, with increments of $1,000, and after someone started the show at $5K, bidder No. 2 came along to up the ante to $15,000.
I'd noted in the prior post (linked above) that the stallion had been standing at Foggy Bottom Farm in Geneseo, N.Y., and while he hasn't thrown spectacular runners, he's thrown sturdy, competitive ones.
